Dr. Adnan Al Sultan

Dr. Adnan Al-Sultan is an Adviser at Saffar Holdings Ltd. From 2002 to 2008, he was the Managing Director and Chairman of National Technology Enterprises Company. Dr. Al-Sultan served for 11 years as the Chief Investment Manager for Direct Investments at Kuwait Investment Authority. He has an experience of 28 years in leadership positions in investment management and direct investment in various investment companies, academic, and consulting businesses. Dr. Al-Sultan was heading the direct investment department in the KIA. He currently leads a number of management positions, and board membership in many companies and various higher committees founded by the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers. Dr. Al-Sultan is a Member of Investment Committee of Saffar Financial Infrastructure Fund. Previously, he was the Deputy Chairman of Thistle Mining Inc. until October 14, 2003. Dr. Al-Sultan has served as the Secretary General for the Higher Committee for Economic Development and Reform and has been a Member of the Board of the Kuwait Institute for Business and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. with dissertation title as International Capital Flows and an M.B.A. both in Economics from Claremont Graduate School and a B.A. in Business Administration from Kuwait University.
